Spring and the warmer temperatures it brings can sneak up on you, wreaking havoc on your pool by promoting algae growth. This can be especially problematic if you use a mesh pool cover, as the water will get plenty of sunlight.

It is often better to prepare for swim season earlier rather than later. Whether your pool is heated or non-heated, it is ideal to open it at least three weeks before you intend to use it. It is important that your water is clean and clear before swimming. Let us know your preferred week(s) by using the form below. Pool openings begin end of march onward. One of the first things we check regularly is your pool filter, the star of your circulation system. The pump moves water through your filter to remove dirt and debris so it can travel back to your pool in a clean state. If you have a sand, cartridge, or DE filter, we can service it with a simple call.

During our weekly checks, we will measure your pool’s pH balance to see if the water is leaning towards acidic, something pool owners should avoid defending against corrosion on your pool’s surface. We use the best pool maintenance products to ensure that your pool health is optimal. We will also check for metals in your pool and sanitize your swimming pool with chlorine, as needed.

As Fall is approaching quickly, it is time to start thinking about winterizing your swimming pool. Winterizing or closing your pool for the season helps safeguard your pool from costly damage related to freezing water which can increase the risk of vinyl tears and cracked tiles. It is also a great way to keep your pool clean and ensure that it is ready to go when the next swimming season rolls around.

Now is the time to start scheduling your pool to be winterized. We recommend scheduling a few weeks in advance to ensure you get the date you prefer. You may want to consider our Winter Maintenance Service, which is a once per month visit during November through March.

Checking/draining water level to make sure it remains 3 inches below the tiles and/or skimmer mouth.

*No pool is ever guaranteed 100% algae free. However, our Winter Maintenance Service helps as a preventative measure along with opening your pool in early April.
